Das Lehrbuch geht dezidiert auf die Bedrfnisse des Prfungsfaches Dermatologie im Medizinstudium sowie auf die der allgemeinrztlichen Praxis ein. Es werden alle Krankheitsbilder, die im deutschen, sterreichischen und schweizerischen Gegenstandskatalog vorkommen, angefhrt und in ihrer Ausfhrlichkeit je nach Relevanz behandelt. Der didaktische Zugang erfolgt stets ber eine konkrete klinische Situation, von der die Lerninhalte vermittelt werden. Das Buch ist dennoch nach klinischen Entitten gegliedert, weil dies dem Lernprozess entgegenkommt und Redundanzen vermeidet. Im narrativen Stil wird von Fallbeispielen ausgegangen, woraus sukzessive Lerninhalte und rztliche Handlungs und Denksequenzen abgeleitet werden.Aufgrund der Darstellung entspricht das Lehrbuch sowohl den Anforderungen der Reformstudiengnge in Deutschland (z.B. Charit Berlin, Uni Mnchen), sterreich, und der Schweiz als auch der herkmmlichen MedizinCurricula. Die berschriften sind durchgehend aussagekrftige Stze, sodass schon beim berfliegen ein Lerneffekt eintritt. Als ausgewiesenes Lernbuch tritt es aus der Masse der konventionellen DermatologieBcher hervor, da es bislang keine vergleichbaren Werke mit diesem Ansatz gibt.
