Der Anschluss sterreichs an Deutschland und die Geltung des deutschen Rechts fhrte zu massiven Vernderungen im Bereich des sterreichischen Erbrechts. Die Autorin Mag. Birgit Mailnder erlutert zunchst welche Beweggrnde zu diesen Reformen fhrten. Darauf aufbauend wird auf die einzelnen Reformen vor allem im Testaments und Erbhofrecht nher eingegangen, da in diesen Bereichen die nationalsozialistische Weltanschauung durch die Beschrnkung des freien Willens am wirkungsvollsten durchgesetzt werden konnte. Durch die Erluterung der einzelnen Reformen wird dargelegt wie die jdische Bevlkerung systematisch entrechtet und das grausame rassistische Vorhaben des Nationalsozialismus verwirklicht wurde. Weiters wird durch dieses Buch veranschaulicht, das die Schaffung einer "bergesetzlichkeit" des Fhrerwillens beinahe zur gnzlichen Ausschaltung des Rechtsstaates fhrte. Als Abschluss wird die Frage geklrt, was mit den eingefhrten Rechtsnormen nach 1945 geschah und aufgezeigt, das nicht alle Reformen eine Verschlechterung darstellten.
