Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Archologie, , Veranstaltung: HS Germanen, Hunnen und Awaren Europa zur Zeit der Vlkerwanderung, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Fund wurde 1932 bei Bauarbeiten aus einem Grab geborgen. Er ist unvollstndig erhalten, da er bei Bauarbeiten des Freiwilligen Arbeitsdienstes, dem Vorlufer des Reichsarbeitsdienstes, ber den durch gro angelegte Programme wurden arbeitslose Jugendliche oder Erwachsene in der Weimarer Republik beschftigt wurden, zufllig angeschnitten und vor Eintreffen eines Sachverstndigen dem Boden entnommen wurde. Aufgrund des Fundes eines Schwertes wurde bei der Suche nach weiteren wertvollen Funden die bestatteten berreste der Krper zertrmmert und ebenso eine vorgefundene Tierkopfbronze gewaltsam zerbrochen sowie gefundene Gegenstnde unter den Mitgliedern des Freiwilligen Arbeitsdienstes verteilt, wofr auch die Unvollstndigkeit der Skelette spricht. Eine wissenschaftliche Aufnahme des Fundes wurde unter diesen Umstnden verhindert, und somit handelt es sich um einen geschlossenen, aber nicht vollstndigen Fund. Es handelte sich um ein Skelett eines 4060jhrigen Mannes sowie ein weibliches Skelett etwa selben Alters, welches von den Arbeitern zuerst bersehen wurde und 3 Schweineknochen. Der Fund bestand des Weiteren aus einer prunkvollen Spatha mit Teilen einer mit Goldblech und einer Silberfassung verzierten Schwertscheide, ein einschneidiger Langsax, eine silberne Schnalle mit Spuren von Vergoldung sowie ein nicht nher identifizierbares Bronzestck, welches in einen ehemals vergoldeten Tierkopf auslief. Die Fundstelle liegt zwischen Altluheim und dem Rhein, innerhalb eines sogenannten Hochgestades, der Gelndekante zwischen Niederterrasse und Flussaue des Rheins.
