Wie im Original, so strandet auch in seiner Neubearbeitung der Amerikaner Rainsford auf einer Karibikinsel, die einem reichen und exzentrischen Russen, General Zaroff, gehrt. Zaroff ist wie sein unerwarteter Gast leidenschaftlicher Jger und hat auf der Insel ein Schloss errichten lassen. Das dient ihm als Ausgangspunkt fr die grte Herausforderung, die er sich als Jger wnschen kann: der Jagd auf Menschen. About the Author Ulf Kreth, am 12. November 1971 in der niederschsischen Stadt Salzgitter geboren, studierte Germanistik und Anglistik und unterrichtet heute an einer Schule in Braunschweig. Er ist verheiratet und Vater einer Tochter. Im Jahre 2006 wurde sein erstes Werk "Was Kurzes" verffentlicht (Heimdall Verlag, ISBN: 9783980773676).
