The 1970S Were A Crucial Milestone In This Journey, Having Far-Reaching Impacts On The CountryS Politics, Governance, And Its People As A Whole. The 1970S Can Also Be Called IndiraS Decade. She Returned To Power In 1971 With A Strong Political Slogan Of Garibi Hatao. Her Success In The Bangladesh War Catapulted Indira Gandhi To The Pinnacle Of Popularity, And She Subsequently Embarked On A Series Of Bold Decisions, Including The Abolition Of The Privy Purse And The Nationalization Of Coal. This book by Das Saal really dives deep into the shifts in Indian politics. The insights are fresh and I found myself reflecting on many issues while reading. It’s a must for anyone interested in how our political landscape is evolving!

Not what I expected
I thought this book would focus more on policies rather than personal anecdotes. While there are some valuable insights, I felt it strayed a bit from the topic I was interested in, but it’s still a decent read.

Interesting but some parts drag
I enjoyed many aspects of the book and learned quite a bit. However, a few sections felt overly detailed and could have been more concise. Still, worth the read if you're into political history.
