Ein in den Medien eher nur am Rande diskutierter Grund fr den Anstieg des lpreises stellt die Entwicklung des USDollar dar. Der USDollar bt als Weltwhrung, in der wichtige Rohstoffe notieren und zahlreiche Schulden gehalten werden, eine Doppelrolle aus: er ist einerseits nationale Whrung der USA, auf der anderen Seite Leitwhrung der Weltwirtschaft. Diese Doppelrolle impliziert einen signifikanten Einfluss auf die Entwicklung wichtiger Rohstoffpreise. Ziel dieser Seminararbeit ist die Analyse des Hintergrunds steigender Rohstoffpreise, insbesondere dem Erdl. Dabei wird ein Augenmerk auf die Doppelrolle des USDollar gelegt, aber auch andere Grnde fr einen steigenden Rohlpreis herausgearbeitet. Auerdem sollen zahlreiche Zusammenhnge zu unterschiedlichsten Problembereichen, welche in der Vorlesung des sterreichischen konomen Dr. Schulmeister vom Wirtschaftsforschungsinstitut im Rahmen der Didaktik der Volkswirtschaftslehre' an der WU Wien behandelt wurden, zu diesem Thema verknpft werden. Es wird ein Konnex zur makrokonomischen Entwicklung der USA und Europas, zu internationalen Finanzkrisen sowie zu real und finanzkapitalistischen Systemen hergestellt.
