Die Daseinsvorsorge durch den ffentlichrechtlichen Rundfunk ist, zumeist unter dem Stichwort der Grundversorgung, Gegenstand vieler rundfunkrechtlicher Untersuchungen. Whrend als Mastab in der Regel jedoch das nationale Verfassungsrecht herangezogen wird, richtet die Verfasserin dieser Arbeit nach einer rechtsvergleichenden Analyse der Rundfunkordnungen in Deutschland und Frankreich ihr Hauptaugenmerk auf das europische Gemeinschaftsrecht. Die Untersuchung anhand der Dienstleistungsfreiheit und des Beihilfesystems des Gemeinschaftsrechts zeigt auf, inwiefern die unterschiedliche Behandlung von ffentlichrechtlichem und privatem Rundfunk im dualen Rundfunksystem bedenklich erscheint. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden insbesondere mit Blick auf das Zeitalter der Digitalisierung Alternativen zum derzeitigen System entwickelt.Die Arbeit von BraumSchleicher ist eine gute Grundlage fr die weitere Diskussion um die Aufgabe und den 'public remit' sowie den 'public value' des ffentlichrechtlichen Rundfunks im nationalen wie im europischen Kontext.
