About the Author Ich beschrnke mich auf das sogenannte Berufliche, da der hier zur Verfgung stehende Platz nicht ganz reichen wrde fr das Aufrollen meines Privatlebens. Nach der Promotion in mathematischer Logik bin ich in der Rechner Programmierung eines grsseren schweizerischen Unternehmens gelandet und dort spter im Datenbankbereich, wo ich seit achtzehn Jahren in verschiedenen Positionen mit Themen der relationalen Datenwelt zu tun habe, von der Systemprogrammierung bis zum Datenwarenhaus. Nebenbei habe ich theoretische Artikel zum Datenbankthema verffentlicht, und einige Jahre an Fachhochschulen unterrichtet.
