"Kidnapped" is a novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. It is a historical fiction adventure piece, written as a 'boys novel' and based around nineteenth century Scottish events. These most prominently include the aftermath of the Jacobite Rising in 1752. A large majority of the characters are based on real people, and the contemporary political landscape is explored from various authentic viewpoints. This interesting and insightful volume is highly recommended for those with an interest in Scottish history, and is not to be missed by fans of Stevensons work. Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson (1850 1894) was a famous Scottish essayist, novelist, poet, and travel writer. Some of his best known works include "Treasure Island" and "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde". Many vintage texts such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive, and it is with this in mind that we are republishing this book now, in an affordable, highquality, modern edition. It comes complete with a specially commissioned biography of the author.
