Die Arbeit soll jedoch primer einen Einblick in Marcus Tullius Ciceros erste politische Rede de imperio Cn. Pompei(i) ad Quirites oratio (de lege Manilia) geben und diese somit analysieren. Meine Leitfrage soll hierbei die Folgende sein: Wie ging Cicero mit der Herausforderung um, seine erste politische Rede zu halten? Hierzu mchte ich zunchst auf den Anlass der Rede und ihre Konsequenzen eingehen, welche sowohl unter dem politischen, als auch dem sozialen Aspekt zu betrachten sind und ferner Einfluss auf die Person Cicero haben. Weiter mchte ich dann die Klassifikation, den Stil und die rhetorischen Stilmittel der Rede genauer in Betracht nehmen und diese mit einigen Beispielen belegen. Bei den Beispielen werde ich mich durchweg an das Lateinische halten um somit die rhetorischen Stilmittel und Metriken besser erlutern zu knnen.
