I wanted more of a general overview, but this book goes into gruesome specifics. It’s well-researched, but I found it quite depressing. The cover is striking, but I just couldn’t get through it without feeling down.

This book dives deep into some dark chapters of history. It really opened my eyes to the extent of government actions over the years. The writing is engaging, and although it’s tough to read at times, it’s an important read for anyone interested in history and social issues.
