Ausgangspunkt drfte die bedrohliche Tatsache sein, dass in hochtechnisierten Industriegesellschaften die sogenannten Zivilisationskrankheiten souvern die TodesursachenStatistik anfhren, eng verbunden ist diese typische Verwandlung des Krankheitspanoramas mit der insgesamt erschreckenden Kostenexplosion im Gesundheitswesen.' (BALZ: 1995, S. 11). Als Ursachen fr das Auftreten der neuen Zivilisationskrankheiten gelten laut BALZ (ebd.) Bewegungsarmut, Genussmittelmissbrauch, Stressberlastung und Ernhrungsfehler. Bereits im Kindes und Jugendalter wrde das Gefhrdungspotenzial sichtbar werden. bergewicht, Koordinations und Haltungsschwchen, Kreislaufstrungen, chronische Erkrankungen, geringere krperliche Belastbarkeit, Suchtprobleme und psychosomatische Beeintrchtigungen wrden immer hufiger und frher im Entwicklungsverlauf auftreten. (BS, K., WOLL, A.: 2001, S. 295) Was hat nun der Schulsport mit der Gesundheit von Kindern und Jugendlichen zu tun? Wie ist die Aufgabe einer Gesundheitserziehung im Schulsport zu verstehen? Unter anderem mit diesen beiden Fragen werde ich mich in meiner Arbeit zum Thema Gesundheitserziehung' auf dieser und den folgenden Seiten befassen.
