Zugleich soll anhand der Dialektik der Aufklrung', die gemeinsam mit Adorno unter dem Eindruck der Entwicklung des Faschismus geschrieben wurde, der eingesetzte Paradigmenwechsel im Verstndnis des Problemzusammenhangs zwischen Denken und sozialer Praxis in der frher kT beschrieben werden. Die Entwicklung der Menschheitsgeschichte wird alleinig auf den Entfaltungsprozess der Umarbeitung und Beherrschung der Natur zurckgefhrt. Die kT wei allerdings im Gegensatz zur tT um die Logik der gesellschaftlichen Entwicklung. Dieses kritische Verhalten' des Subjekts steht dabei in bewusster Opposition zur Gesellschaft mit ihrer gemeinschaftlichen Organisation der Produktivkrfte, aber auch der daraus resultierenden und darauf aufbauenden Kultur. Trger dieses Verhaltens ist dabei nicht die gesellschaftliche Klasse des Proletariats an sich, sondern der oppositionelle Intellektuelle und Theoretiker'. In der gemeinsam mit Adorno 1947 verffentlichten Dialektik der Aufklrung' (DA) wurde die kritischen Theorie als Kritik an der Moderne und vor dem Hintergrund der Schrecken des Faschismus und des Krieges weiterentwickelt. Dabei stehen das Projekt der Aufklrung', ihre bewirkte Zerstrung des Mythos und die Pathologien der modernen Gesellschaften ... [als Ergebnis] der Verfallsgeschichte der abendlndischen Rationalitt' (Hetzel 2001: 150) im Mittelpunkt der Betrachtungen. Dabei entzaubert die Aufklrung die Welt durch Dekonstruktion religiser Vorstellungen und Institutionen. Soziale Praxis wird hierbei durch Horkheimer/Adorno vor dem Hintergrund der damaligen geschichtlichen Erfahrungen negativ in Bezug auf die
