A systematic and thorough interpretation of the philosophy of Daniel Dennett, this book is a tantalizing entre into the philosophy of mind. Manifestly, we human beings are conscious, thinking, free and responsible agents. However, science has revealed that we are also natural products of evolution, composed of simple biochemical components which are arranged in complex selfmaintaining configurations. How do these two aspects of humanity coincide?Tadeusz Zawidzki outlines Dennetts reconciliation of three major components thought, consciousness, and freedom of the will with what science tells us about human nature. In the course of this exposition, the book highlights the important role that Darwinian thinking plays in Dennetts proposed reconciliation, as well as his innovative proposals regarding the reality of our consciousness and its attributes. An insightful introduction to Dennetts thought, this work will prove invaluable to interested readers, students, and scholars alike.

I picked up the Dennett Oneworld Thinkers book for a philosophy club I'm in, and it did not disappoint. The way it dives into complex ideas is really captivating, even for those new to the subject. It’s a great resource to spark discussions!

Interesting, but a bit dense
The Dennett Oneworld Thinkers book has some fantastic concepts, but I found some sections to be quite dense. It took me a little while to digest everything. Still, I appreciate the depth and how it challenges my thinking.

Not what I expected
I have to be honest, the Dennett Oneworld Thinkers book arrived with a few pages a bit bent, which was disappointing. The ideas presented are intriguing, but I was hoping for a better condition when it came. It’s okay, though, I still plan to read it!
