Mai 2011, der in Berlin traditionellerweise mit dem politisch linksorientierten Myfest" in dem Bezirk Kreuzberg und damit verbundenen Demonstrationen gefeiert wird, erschien in der lokalen Boulevardzeitung B.Z." eine mehrteilige Serie mit dem Titel Der 1. Mai Komplex. Wie die linksextreme Mafia in Berlin operiert". In dieser Serie mchte die Journalistin Caroline Rosales den Lesern erklren wie der linksextreme Untergrund in Berlin organisiert ist" , vor allem in Hinblick auf die Demonstrationen, bei denen es in der Vergangenheit hufiger zu gewaltsamen Auseinandersetzungen zwischen Demonstranten und Polizei kam. Die Serie fhrte zu heftigen Reaktionen, etlichen Gegendarstellungen aber auch zu groer Zustimmung. Doch was genau machte diese Serie so brisant? Wie wurde die Linke in ihr dargestellt? Welche Mittel wurden verwendet? Aus welchen Grnden wurde ein bestimmtes Bild vermittelt? Und was genau waren die Reaktionen? Diese Fragen mchte ich versuchen, mit meiner Hausarbeit zu beantworten. Stanley Cohen entwickelte in seinem 1972 erschienen Werk Folk Devils and Moral Panics" das Konzept der Moral Panic". Ich werde in meiner Arbeit berprfen, ob auch die Serie der B.Z." als Teil einer solchen angesehen werden kann. Um die mchtige Position der Zeitung herauszuarbeiten, mchte ich diese zunchst als Teil des umstrittenen AxelSpringerKonzerns vorstellen. In einem weiteren Schritt werde ich genauer auf die Serie Der 1. Mai Komplex" eingehen. Anhand des Konzepts der Moral Panic" werde ich untersuchen, ob die Serie versucht, Feindbilder zu produzieren und Angst zu verbreiten. Dies werde ich in einer kurzen Analyse der Mittel, die zur Darstellung der linken Szene Berlins genutzt werden, machen. Daraufhin
