Die gegenwrtige Studie ist integriert in den Kontext des Theoriestranges Transfer der Begrifflichkeit vom traditionellen Verstndnis der Gemeinschaft und Gruppenzugehrigkeit zum neueren und gegebenenfalls herausfordernden Verstndnis der christlichen Soziallehre des 19. Jahrhunderts', welcher im Seminar1 in Teilen behandelt wurde. Im Fokus dieser sozialwissenschaftlichen Analyse steht der Nationalkonom, Moraltheologe und Sozialethiker Heinrich Pesch (18541926) mit seiner klassischen Form der Sozialprinzipien und dem Verbreiten der Maximen der christlichen Wirtschafts und Sozialordnung. Zum besseren Verstndnis werden vorerst die Anfnge der katholischen Soziallehre nher erlutert (Kapitel II). Dabei spielen der Kulturkampf und die ra des Bismarckreiches eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Entwicklung der katholischen Soziallehre im Deutschland des 19. Jahrhunderts und beginnenden 20. Jahrhunderts. Im Kapitel III werden schlielich die Zusammenhnge der Sozialprinzipien Heinrich Peschs nher erlutert. Zustzlich werden Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede in Bezug auf die Theorien von Adam Mller und Theodor Meyer herausgearbeitet. Wichtig ist hierbei, dass die theologischen Studien Heinrich Peschs sowie seine Beurteilungen der sozialen Lebensumstnde der Arbeiterschaft in der Zeit der europischen Industrialisierung aufgrund der sozialen Stellung des Arbeiters stets von verschiedenen Faktoren beeinflusst wurden, nicht zuletzt durch den Eintritt in den Jesuitenorden und das Studium der Philosophie in den Niederlanden.
