Es bedeutet Macht, Chance und Gefahr zugleich. Devisen und Exportkapital sind in der heutigen Zeit eine weitaus grere Waffe und auch Gefahr, als Atombomben oder der Terrorismus. Mit Hilfe von Exportkapital oder auch Devisen kann ein Land in kurzer Zeit in die Knie gezwungen werden. In frheren Jahren geschah dies vornehmlich durch Kriege, um an Rohstoffe oder Lndereien zu gelangen. Ging der weie Mann' zu jener Zeit in Lnder des afrikanischen Kontinentes oder auf das Territorium von Lateinamerika um Kriege um Lndereien und natrlich auch Rohstoffe zu fhren, nannte und nennt man dies Kolonialismus bzw. auch Imperialismus. Heutzutage ist dies wesentlich einfacher, wie der Begriff des Economic Hit Man' uns suggeriert. In der heutigen Zeit passiert dies durch den einfachen Export von Kapital. Diese nicht ganz ungewagte These soll im Laufe dieser Bachelorarbeit errtert und analysiert werden. Den Begriff des Economic Hit Man' geht auf ein autobiografisches Werk von John Perkins zurck. Perkins, beschreibt in seinen Ausfhrungen, wie die Industriestaaten, im speziellen die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, Kredite an Entwicklungslnder vergeben. Eine besondere Rolle komme hierbei der Weltbank zu, die diese Kredite angeblich vergibt. Dies geschieht auf langfristiger Zeitebene. Besonders prekr sei, dass die vergebenen Kredite weder der armen Bevlkerung dienen, noch das Land insgesamt profitiere. Im Gegenteil: Die Bevlkerung msse die Auslandsschulden abarbeiten und die einzigen Profiteure seien die amerikanischen Konzerne, welche die Auftrge zum Bau von Infrastruktur oder hnlichem erhalten.
