Ausgangspunkt dieses Exports war vor allem die Stadt Erfurt, in deren Umgebung die Pflanze besonders gut gedieh. Anhand einer vergleichenden Gegenberstellung der an einzelnen Geleitsstationen erfaten Waidmengen werden in dieser Arbeit Rckschlsse auf den Umfang des Handels und die Absatzmrkte gezogen. Zugleich lassen sich dabei die am Transport beteiligten Fuhrleute samt ihrer Herkunftsorte namentlich bestimmen. Weiterhin werden zahlreiche Geschftsbeziehungen der Erfurter Kaufleute zu Hndlern der Verkaufsorte nher beleuchtet.
