In Enquists Roman geht es vor allem um die Macht des Glaubens an allerlei Wunderkrfte. Aber es geht auch um das Vertrauen in die Kraft der Sprache: Was nicht geschrieben wurde, heit es des fteren, das hat es nie gegeben.
