Im Mittelpunkt der vorliegenden Arbeit steht nicht die Ereignisgeschichte des Revolutionskalenders, also die Rekonstruktion der jahrelangen und zeitweise uerst intensiven Behandlung der Kalenderreform in den verschiedenen Reprsentativkrperschaften. Vielmehr geht es darum, wie die, neue Zeit' des Revolutinskalender ideologisch, politisch und pragmatisch bewltigt wurde. Nach einleitenden Bemerkungen zu Vorlufern und Vorbereitern der Kalenderrefom (Kap. A) wobei besonders die Rolle der von der Aufklrung favorisierten Dezimalisierung hervortritt werden mit folgenden Fragen drei Aspekte des Revolutionskalenders herausgestellt: 1. Welche ideologischen Erwartungen waren an die Kalenderreform geknpft? 2. Was wollte man politisch mit der Reform erreichen? 3. Wie sah die praktische Umsetzung der Reform vor Ort aus?
