Lnder Neuzeit, Absolutismus, Industrialisierung, FriedrichSchillerUniversitt Jena (Historisches Institut), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit soll die Entwicklung des Frauenvereins Jena, im Kontext des Patriotischen Frauenverein in SachsenWeimarEisenach, ausgehend von den antinapoleonischen Befreiungskriegen bis 1848/49 darstellen und analysieren. Es soll aufgezeigt werden, dass Frauen vom Enthusiasmus fr das Vaterland nicht unberhrt blieben und sich whrend der Kriege gegen Napoleon zu Frauenvereinen formierten. Ihre Aktionen Krankenversorgung, Spendensammeln und die Herstellung von Verbandsmaterial waren politisches Bekenntnis und symbolische Kampfbeteiligung zugleich. Auch im weiteren Verlauf griffen Frauen immer wieder auf diese Aktionsformen zur Demonstration ihrer Gesinnung zurck. Ein Ziel der Arbeit wird sein zu klren, welchen Einfluss Frauen in diesem Aufbruch hatten. Zunchst wird das Verhltnis der Frauenvereine zur Nationalbewegung analysiert und der Frage nachgegangen, ob sich die Frauenvereine als Teil der Nationalbewegung sahen und wie sich nationale und geschlechtsspezifische Identitt gegenseitig beeinflussten. Auch werden die Konflikte analysiert, mit denen sich die Frauenvereine in der brgerlichen Gesellschaft auseinandersetzen mussten, ihr schwieriges Verhltnis zu den Behrden, ffentlichkeit und brgerlichem Weiblichkeitsideal.
