In der heutigen Zeit stehen Frauen den Mnnern bildungstechnisch in nichts mehr nach, haben diese sogar teilweise bereits berholt. Obwohl jedes Jahr mehr Frauen als Mnner mit Hochschulreife ihre Schulbildung abschlieen, ist sowohl der geringe Anteil an Frauen als auch die geschlechtsspezifische Lohnlcke auf dem Arbeitsmarkt noch immer vorherrschend. Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht die Problematik des Gender Pay Gap' in Fhrungspositionen. Dies ist der Verdienstunterschied zwischen Mnnern und Frauen in fhrenden Positionen von Unternehmen, ein Sachverhalt von hoher Prsenz und Aktualitt. Zwar hat sich seit Beginn der Emanzipation der Frauen in den 70er Jahren des vergangenen Jahrhunderts viel in Bezug auf Chancengleichheit, Rechte und auch Ansehen der Frauen verndert, doch dieser Wandel ist bisher noch nicht bei der Entgeltgleichheit von Mnnern und Frauen angekommen. Falls auch ein Gender Pay Gap auf Fhrungsebene vorherrscht, liefere dies einen eindeutigen Nachweis ber die Diskriminierung der Frau in der Arbeitswelt ab. Gerade auf diesem Hierarchieniveau wrde ein groer Gender Pay Gap uerst negative Signale an alle weiblichen Marktteilnehmer senden und motivationshemmend wirken. Die Arbeit hat die Absicht den Status Quo der, verglichen zu Mnnern, ungerechten Unterbezahlung von Frauen auf Fhrungsebene vorzustellen und mgliche Ursachen zu prsentieren. Auerdem werden derzeitig in der Politik verfolgte Manahmen zur Schlieung des Gender Pay Gaps aufgezeigt und diskutiert.
