Barth versucht einen Bogen zu schlagen von der alles begrndenden Erwhlung Gottes, ber seine biblisch belegten Selbstoffenbarungen, hin zum Wirken Gottes im Leben des Einzelnen. Ihre Relevanz bekommt diese Vorsehungslehre in ihrer christozentrischen Argumentation und in der biblischen Fllung des altprotestantischen Denkmodells der Vorsehungslehre. Der Verfasser bietet eine Paraphrase des Textes von Karl Barth (KD 48 und 49,3). Die Darstellung wird durch treffende Zitate belegt. Im Anschluss an die Paraphrase stellt der Verfasser eigene berlegungen an, die den Leser zum eigenstndigen theologischen Denken anregen wollen. Gerade im Bezug auf die Verbindung zwischen Gottes Allmacht und dem Leiden in der Welt, sowie auf die Frage nach der Freiheit des Menschen vor Gott bietet die Vorsehungslehre von Karl Barth eine gute Grundlage fr ein systematischtheologisches Nachdenken.
