Die Untersuchung bezieht sich auf den Wandel im Berufsbild, der im technischen Fortschritt seinen Ursprung hat. Zwei Parameter mssen klar definiert werden, um die Stoffmenge im Rahmen der Anforderungen einer Hausarbeit zu halten: Die zeitliche und die territoriale Eingrenzung des Untersuchungsraums. Den zeitlichen Schwerpunkt stellt die zweite Hlfte des 20. Jahrhunderts dar. Die territoriale Begrenzung umfasst Deutschland. Als Nebenschauplatz muss der angloamerikanische Raum genannt werden, weil viele technische Neuerung dort ihren Ursprung haben. Fr die Neuen Bundeslnder' beginnt die Betrachtung erst mit der Wiedervereinigung.
