Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Sozialpdagogik / Sozialarbeit, Note: 2, Hochschule Neubrandenburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Jugendkriminalitt und Jugendgewalt geben gegenwrtig Anlass zu medialen und politischen Debatten. Ein repressiveres Jugendstrafrecht sowie eine andere, hrtere Pdagogik werden gefordert. Bei diesen Forderungen handelt es sich jedoch um eine Dramatisierung und machtpolitische Inszenierung. Sie soll den Politikerinnen und Politikern erlauben, sich als jene Akteure darzustellen, die die Bevlkerung und ihre Sorgen ernst nehmen. Arbeitslosigkeit, Armut, Furcht vor sozialem Abstieg und krisenhafte Ereignisse fhren zu Sicherheitspaniken. So wird die aus den Vernderungsdynamiken bedingte Unsicherheit, stellvertretend als Angst vor Jugendkriminalitt thematisiert. Als ein Symptom dieser Entwicklung zeigt sich zum Beispiel das Vorhaben der Bundesregierung, die nachtrgliche Sicherheitsverwahrung fr jugendliche Straftter gesetzlich zu ermglichen. Damit soll eine ohnehin grundrechtlich hoch problematische Form der strafrechtlichen Sanktionierung auf junge Straftter ausgeweitet werden (vgl. Scherr 2008, S. 325f). Ich mchte mit meiner Arbeit nicht an dem Sicherheits und Kontrolldiskurs der Medien und Politik teilnehmen. Im Vordergrund meines Beitrages steht die Nutzbarmachung einer pdagogischen Alternative zu den derzeitigen Mglichkeiten des Jugendstrafvollzugs und der Jugendhilfe. Meine Ausarbeitungen zum Konzept der konfrontativen Pdagogik der Glen Mills Schools und des Verhltnisses zum deutschen Jugendstrafvollzug soll weder den Jugendstrafvollzug noch bestehende pdagogische Behandlungsmanahmen oder Manahmen der Jugendhilfe ersetzen. Mein Anliegen besteht darin, aufzuzeigen, dass die konfrontative Pdagogik eine geeignete Mglichkeit darstellt, die Ziele des Jugendstrafvollzugs zu verwirklichen.
