Etzioni gilt als der Mitbegrnder der kommunitaristischen Bewegung, welche 1990 in den USA entstand und auf groe Resonanz stie. In der amerikanischen Presse wird Etzioni bisweilen als der Guru des Kommunitarismus' bezeichnet. Er ist zweifellos einer der einflussreichsten Denker, die den Kommunitarismus zu einem Streitpunkt philosophischer und wissenschaftlicher Auseinandersetzungen und auch ffentlicher Debatten machten. Die Hausarbeit gliedert sich in drei groe Abschnitte. Der erste Abschnitt Kommunitarismus Allgemeinen Rahmen' (Kapitel 2) beschftigt sich zunchst einmal mit der Bedeutung des Begriffs Kommunitarismus'. Dabei werden die zwei Hauptbedeutungen des KommunitarismusBegriffs erlutert. Im zweiten Abschnitt wird Der kommunitaristische Ansatz nach Amitai Etzioni' vorgestellt (Kapitel 3), wobei einige Aspekte seines Konzepts nher zu beleuchten und im dritten Abschnitt kritisch zu hinterfragen sind (Kapitel 4). Der erste Abschnitt, welcher sich mit dem Begriff des Kommunitarismus befasst, lsst sich in zwei Teile untergliedern. Abschnitt 2.1 thematisiert den Kommunitarismus als soziale Bewegung' und erklrt ihren Ursprung, kontextualisiert, aus welchen Beweggrnden diese entstanden ist und welche Intentionen sie verfolgt.
