About the Author Klaus Kranert wurde 1934 in Ellrich geboren, studierte Schiffbau an der Uni Rostock; nach spektakulrer Flucht gelang ihm im Westen der Aufstieg zum Entwicklungsleiter bei AEGSchiffbau; 1977 Promotion ber neue Schiffsantriebe, Vortrge im In und Ausland, viele wissenschaftliche Verffentlichungen wie im Handbuch der Werften oder in Fachjournalen. Im Leben nach dem Beruf ging er seinem liebsten Hobby nach und segelte auf eigenem Kiel rund Europa und begann gleichzeitig seine Erinnerungen an viele unwahrscheinliche Begebenheiten durch Schreiben festzuhalten. Er lebt heute in Hamburg. Bisher im BODVerlag als Romane erschienen: "Schicksalhafte Grenze"und "Segeln in den Ruhestand".
