Im makroskopischen Prparierkurs erlernen Medizinstudierende Anatomie an den Leichen freiwilliger Krperspender. In den letzten Jahren wurde der Kurs jedoch weltweit vielerorts abgeschafft bzw. die Kurszeit drastisch reduziert. Die vorliegende Arbeit basiert auf Befragungen von Kursteilnehmern vor, whrend und nach dem Kurs, anhand derer der Stellenwert des Kurses innerhalb des Studiums und fr die rztliche Ttigkeit eruiert wird. Hierbei wird ein besonderer Schwerpunkt auf die Aspekte sozialer und rztlicher Kompetenz gelegt, die im Kurs zustzlich zum anatomischen Fachwissen vermittelt werden. Anhand von Subgruppenuntersuchungen wird dargestellt, welche Faktoren die Bewertung des Kurses beeinflussen. Weiterhin wird auf die psychologische Komponente des Kurses eingegangen; hierbei werden die Auswirkungen auf die persnliche Entwicklung der Studierenden, ihren Umgang mit dem Tod und die Haltung gegenber den Krperspendern skizziert. Das Buch schliet mit konkreten Handlungsempfehlungen und ist somit eine Hilfe bei curricularen Entscheidungsprozessen ber Art und Umfang des Prparierkurses.
