Product Description Seit 2005 bietet das Bundesamt fr Migration und Flchtlinge Integrationskurse fr Migranten an. Sie bestehen aus einem Sprachkurs und einem sog. Orientierungskurs. Letzterer endet mit einem Abschlusstest und soll Einwanderern eine Hilfestellung geben, sich in Deutschland zurechtzufinden. Schon eine oberflchliche Analyse des Orientierungskurses zeigt allerdings, dass er nach Inhalt und Konzeption keine groe Integrationshilfe darstellt. Das grte Defizit ergibt sich daraus, dass der Lebenswelt der Zielgruppe neuzugewanderte Migranten gar nicht Rechnung getragen wird. Bei der Entwicklung des Kurses standen nicht Bedrfnisse der Migranten sondern die des Staates im Vordergrund. Nur worin bestehen diese genau? Hat der Orientierungskurs eine rein symbolische Funktion? Soll er etwa Handlungswillen und fhigkeit zum Ausdruck bringen? Hat er gar eine Kontrollfunktion und soll integrationsunwillige Migranten zu erkennen helfen? Diese Studie untersucht das Curriculum sowie den 250 Fragen umfassenden Katalog des Abschlusstests, um die Intention des Orientierungskurses zu verstehen. About the Author Marco Kaden studierte EuropaStudien an der Technischen Universitt Chemnitz, Abschluss 2009 als Bachelor of Arts. Derzeit vor Aufnahme eines weiterfhrenden Studiums.
