In solchen Fllen wird die Geschichte von einer anonym bleibenden Stimme vermittelt, ber die der Leser keine Informationen erhlt'1. Man nennt eine solche in der Erzhlrede verborgene, keinerlei Persnlichkeitsmerkmale aufweisende, narrative Instanz ein neutrales Erzhlmedium. Im Gegensatz dazu steht der sogenannte explizite Erzhler. Dieser tritt als individualisierter Sprecher aus der Erzhlrede hervor, er ist als fiktive Person fassbar und meldet sich persnlich zu Wort. Man kann also offensichtlich die Erzhlinstanzen in narrativen Texten nach dem Grad der Explizitt, mit dem sie in Erscheinung treten, differenzieren. In Bezug auf den Parzival Erzhler wird man sich schnell einig werden, dass es sich offensichtlich um einen expliziten Erzhler handelt. Diese Feststellung birgt indes keinen besonders groen Erkenntnisgewinn. Viel interessanter ist dagegen Joachim Bumkes These, welche besagt, [d]er Erzhler [trete] im Pazival' so dominierend hervor, da man ihn fr die Hauptperson der Dichtung halten knnte'2. Fr Bumke zeichnet sich der ParzivalErzhler also durch eine bersteigerte, die Figuren der erzhlten Welt verdrngende, Explizitt aus. Ich mchte Bumkes These zur Hypothese dieser Arbeit machen und die Frage stellen, ob der Erzhler im Parzival tatschlich eine derart dominante Rolle spielt. Dazu werde ich zunchst untersuchen, wie ausgeprgt die Tendenz des ParzivalErzhlers zur Personalisierung, Individualisierung bzw.
