Als Soldat und Offizier blieb er danach acht Jahre bei der Bundeswehr. In dieser Zeit heiratete er und wohnte zunchst mit seiner Familie in Mnchen. In Kiel studierte er Sonderpdagogik und arbeitete anschlieend als Lehrer. Zwischenzeitlich zog er mit seiner Familie nach Dnemark, um hier zwei Jahre an den Vorlesungen auf dem Apostolic Bible College teilzunehmen. Heinz Pahl gehrt zur dnischen Minderheit in SchleswigHolstein und lebt heute in Niedersachsen
