Wir haben auch fr dieses Workshop ein Thema von interdisziplinrem Charakter und Interesse ausgewhlt. Die einzelnen Beitrge vermitteln das fr die Weiter und Fort bildung notwendige oder zu ergnzende Grundlagenwissen, in der Diskussion wird der Versuch unternommen, die besonders aktuellen Probleme aus der Sicht der ver schiedenen am Workshop beteiligten medizinischen Fachgebiete zu beleuchten und schlielich Empfehlungen fr die klinische Praxis zu geben. In diesem Workshop haben wir mit der Analyse der Risikofaktoren begonnen, die fr den intra und postoperativen Verlauf, die Auswahl einer Vor oder Korrekturbehand lung, schlielich aber auch fr die Auswahl des Ansthesieverfahrens und die Therapie des postoperativen Abschnittes Bedeutung haben. In weiteren geplanten Workshops werden wir uns den Risikofaktoren zuwenden, die aus Strungen der Atemfunktion und des Stoffwechsels resultieren. Der Patient wird einem immer umfangreicher werdenden Untersuchungsprogramm unterzogen, um eine differenzierte Diagnostik zu ermglichen und damit eine klare und bessere Indikationsstellung fr den Operateur zu erarbeiten. In dem Augenblick, in dem die Diagnose feststeht und kein Zweel an der Notwendigkeit einer chirur gischen Intervention gegeben ist, bleiben aber selbst bei Wahleingriffen in vielen Fllen nur noch wenige Stunden, um die Risikofaktoren zu analysieren oder gar Begleitkrankheiten vorzubehandeln. Alle vorausgehenden Manahmen sind also bisher im wesentlichen auf das operativ anzugehende Grundleiden, nicht aber auf den Organismus ausgerichtet, der dieses Grundleiden beinhaltet und der nun einer Narkose und Operation zugefhrt werden soll.
