Das gewaltige Naturphnomen versetzte am 26. Dezember 2004 eine ganze Bevlkerung in Angst und Schrecken, als es die Kstenregionen am Indischen Ozean erreichte und eine Katastrophe mit schwerwiegenden Folgen verursachte. Dieses Ereignis bewegte nicht nur den asiatischen Raum; die ganze Welt berichtete von dem durch Seebeben ausgelsten Tsunami. In der vorliegenden Hausarbeit mchte ich mich zunchst mit den allgemeinen geophysikalischen Ursachen, den Auswirkungen und den gefhrdeten Gebieten auseinandersetzen. Ich stelle die geophysikalischen Prozesse bei einem Erdbeben hierbei in den Fokus meiner Hausarbeit, um die sich ausbreitenden Wellenbewegungen eines Tsunamis zu verstehen. Ebenfalls mchte ich mich nher mit dem interessanten Themenbereich auseinandersetzen, welche geographischen Gebiete besonders von einer Tsunamikatastrophe gefhrdet sind. Dass die Naturgewalten ber solch eine Macht und Gewalt verfgen, ist einerseits erschreckend, andererseits jedoch weckt es Interesse, respektvolle Ehrfurcht und Faszination' sofern dies in einer Naturkatastrophe zutreffen kann fr die Naturgewalten dieser Erde. ...
