Diese Studie stellt erstmalig von der Insolvenz betroffene Unternehmer in den Fokus. Das Unternehmertum bt auch in der Wissenschaft eine besondere Stellung aus. So widmen sich ganze Forschungszweige den Ursachen fr Unternehmensgrndungen oder der Untersuchung von Unterschieden in den Persnlichkeitsmerkmalen von Unternehmern und NichtUnternehmern. Diese Analyse lieferte Erkenntnisse darber, wie Unternehmer, welche Insolvenz anmelden mussten, diese Situation erlebten, welche Aspekte als besonders belastend empfunden wurden und welche psychologische Untersttzung notwendig ist. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Insolvenz in den Bereichen: Wohnsituation, finanzielle Situation, familire Situation, gesundheitliche Situation, gesellschaftliche Situation und Freizeit Einfluss nimmt und die Unternehmer teilweise mit extremen Vernderungen konfrontiert wurden. Es konnte gezeigt werden, dass schon die drohende Insolvenz bei den Unternehmern starke ngste auslst. Sowohl der zeitliche Rahmen einer Insolvenz als auch die Auswirkungen in den genannten Lebensbereichen erlebten die Unternehmer als psychische Beanspruchung und sahen diesbezglich die Notwendigkeit fr externe Untersttzung. Des Weiteren stand die Untersttzung bei der beruflichen Neuorientierung im Fokus. Hierzu wurde das bereits gut implementierte Outplacement als theoretische Basis fr die Befragung zugrunde gelegt. Sowohl die bertragung inhaltlicher Aspekte als auch der Rahmenbedingungen wurden berprft.
