1m folgenden werden die Ergebnisse einer Verlaufsuntersuchung an Patienten mit schizophrenen und endogenen paranoiden Psychosen dargestellt. Der zentrale Teil der Arbeit wurde 1980 als Habilitationsarbeit des Erstautors fertiggestellt. Diese umfangreiche Darstellung wurde flir die hier vorgelegte Buchpublikation stark umgearbeitet, auf die wesentlichen Aspekte gektirzt, stilistisch umgearbeitet und urn neu ere Literaturergebnisse angereichert. AuBerdem wurden flir diese Buchpublikation eine Reihe von neuen Auswertungsergebnissen hinzugefligt, die sich entweder auf die urspriingliche Datenbasis be ziehen oder auf einen durch spater zusatzlich durchgeflihrte Unter suchungen erweiterten Merkmalsbestand beziehen. Die Kapitel sind so gestaltet, daB jedes Kapitel auch flir sich al lein gelesen werden kann und so erschopfend einen speziellen Teil der untersuchten Problematik darstellt. Es ist also moglich, sich ge zielt nur tiber spezielle Aspekte der Untersuchung zu informieren. Deutlich markierte zusammenfassende Zwischenbilanzen nach je weils mehreren, inhaltlich zusammengehorigen Kapiteln, verhelfen zur schnellen Information tiber die wichtigsten Ergebnisse.
