En la siguiente Memoria se hace un estudio de la naturaleza de los complejos que se forman entre un conjunto de 1furoiltioureas y las sales CdCl2 y HgCl2, para evaluar y correlacionar sus propiedades con el comportamiento de los ligandos como ionforos o modificantes en sensores electroqumicos potenciomtricos y amperomtricos. Se aborda primeramente el estudio de los ligandos, en particular mediante mtodos espectroscpicos de absorcin tales como FTIR y Raman, para identificar aquellas vibraciones que pueden servir como indicadores del proceso de interaccin entre el ligando y el metal, y luego se estudian estas interacciones en los complejos entre los ligandos y las sales metlicas. Se investiga la determinacin de Cd(II) mediante Voltamperometra de Impulso Diferencial con el mtodo de Redisolucin Andica sobre los electrodos de pasta de carbono modificados con aquellos compuestos que mostraron mejor comportamiento preliminar. Tambin se realizan experimentos encaminados a establecer las condiciones electroqumicas e instrumentales ptimas del mtodo. En todos los estudios se ha correlacionado la respuesta analtica con los cambios observados en los espectros FTIR y Raman.
