Descripcin del Asta de Venado Cola Blanca (O.v. texanus): Morfometra y Composicin Mineral de Astas de Venado Cola Blanca T,Used

Se llevo a cabo una investigacin con el fin de caracterizar la morfometra y composicin mineral de las astas de venado cola blanca texano en la regin noreste de Mxico. Se conto con 3,259 registros con variables morfometricas de las astas de los aos 1999 al 2009, y con 39 muestras de astas recolectadas en la regin noreste. Los registros fueron obtenidos de la base de datos de la Asociacin Nacional de Ganaderos Diversificados Criadores de Fauna (ANGADI), los cuales provienen de 367 Unidades de Manejo para la Conservacin de la Vida Silvestre (UMAS), en 22 municipios del noreste de Mxico. Las cuales se analizaron con un anlsis de regresin multivarido con los factores ao, clase, suplementacin, municipio dentro de estado y estado, con la edad como covariable. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que existe variabilidad entre las clases de ocho puntas, tpicos y no tipicos (P > 0.05), para el factor suplementacin muestra que venados cola blanca texano que recibieron suplementacin tienen mayor puntuacin total (P > 0.01) que los que no recibieron, se encontr que la tendencia fenotpica de la variable puntuacin total decrece en el periodo de estudio.
