Published in 1953, with iconic symbols of that era! In true midcentury style, the author starts with geometry and manmade mathematical shapes. This brilliant designer riffs on them, and then moves on to flower and plant forms, birds and animals, manmade forms and human forms. Most of the illustrations look abstract and formal like a much better clip art book. Rare, and highly recommended.
