Hierzu erscheint es zunchst notwendig, in einem ersten Teil die historische Entwicklung des europischen Integrationsprozesses im Whrungsbereich vom WernerPlan (1970) bis zur Einsetzung der Europischen Zentralbank (EZB) im Juni 1998 nachzuzeichnen. Hier soll versucht werden, die historische Entwicklung der WWU in bezug auf Deutschlands besondere Motive und Ziele darzustellen. Welche besondere Rolle hat Deutschland in den Verhandlungen ber die Whrungsunion gespielt? Ist es ihm gelungen, seine eigene Auffassung der Whrungsunion durchzusetzen?
