He received his doctorate at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. After that he joined a major consulting firm, where he worked as an SAP consultant in the area of Web development. During this time, he implemented comprehensive customerspecific Web applications on the basis of SAP Web Application Server until he became a member of the executive board at IXULT AG.
