Ausgehend von der Fest stellung, da Kursprognosen mit groer Unsicherheit behaftet und deswegen nicht das adquate Mittel fr die Auswahl der richtigen Kurssi cherungsstrategie mit Devisenoptionen sind, sucht der Autor in den Optionspreisen nach Informationen fr die jeweils 'richtige' Strategie. Der entscheidende Schritt ist dabei die Untersuchung der Preiswrdigkeit von Devisenoptionen, das heit die Klrung der Frage, ob und inwiefern die von den optionspreistheoretisch richtigen bezahlten Optionspreise Optionspreisen abweichen. Dazu stellt der Verfasser eine methodisch ber zeugende und einen Zeitraum von mehr als fnf Jahren umfassende empiri sche Untersuchung fr US$/DMDevisenoptionen an. Er zeigt, da Optionspreise meist 'berschieen', Optionen also entweder zu teuer oder zu billig gehandelt werden.
