In meiner Hausarbeit bearbeite ich das Thema "Demenz". Folgende Schwerpunkte habe ich bei der Erstellung meiner Arbeit gesetzt: Im ersten Kapitel meiner Arbeit mchte ich einen berblick ber das Krankheitsbild als Definition und deren Merkmale, sowie ihrer Hufigkeit geben. In diesem Teil geht es weitergehend um die Variationen der Demenzkrankheit, die in zwei Bereiche geteilt sind. Der Erste untergliedert Demenztypen nach dem Lebensalter. Demenztypen nach Ursachen ist Inhalt des danach folgenden Bereiches. Ein weiteres Unterkapitel beschftigt sich mit den Klassifikationen nach ICD 10 eine internationale Unterteilung von Krankheiten. Das zweite Kapitel beschreibt die fnf Diagnosekriterien, die erfllt sein mssen, damit eine Demenz diagnostiziert wird. Hier wird ein berblick,aber auch vereinzelt Einblicke, in mgliche Therapieformen gewhrt. An einem Punkt wird sogar Kritik an berbewerteten und unterbewerten Forschungsgebieten geuert. Diagnosestellung ist Thema des dritten Kapitels, das einen berblick ber die wichtigsten Mglichkeiten geben soll, die eingesetzt werden, um Demenz medizinisch nachzuweisen. Hier geht es von der Eigenund Fremddiagnose, die sich sehr wenig technischer Hilfsmittel bedienen bis zu apparativen Verfahren wie EKG (Elektrokardiogramm), CT (Computertomographie) und EEG (Elektroenzephalogramm).
