Manche Kliniken erscheinen pro gressiv und operieren Frakturen im Wachstumsalter, die auch durch sorg faltige konservative Behandlung zu einem ausgezeichneten Ergebnis gebracht werden kennen. Andere sind zuriickhaltend, gelegentlich auch zu zuriick haltend und versaumen einen operativen Eingriff, der spatere Entwicklungs sterungen Mtte verhindem kennen. Operative und konservative Einstellung sind noch oft der Intuition des Chirurgen unterworfen, obwohl allein ratio nale Griinde den Ausschlag geben sollten. Dieses Buch will einen Beitrag dazu leisten, die Vorgange wahrend der Kno chenbruchheilung, insbesondere nach einer Osteosynthese, zu erhellen. Vor allem wird auf die Folgen aufmerksam gemacht, die eine fehlgeschlagene Osteosynthese nach sich ziehen kann.
