I was looking for more of a travel guide when I ordered this diary. While the writing about Machu Picchu is captivating, it’s more of a personal narrative than a guide. Still, I appreciated the insights and cultural references, even if it wasn’t the practical book I wanted.

This diary is a unique find! I got it for my friend who is studying Spanish and is fascinated by Machu Picchu. The stories are engaging, and it’s a great way for her to practice her reading. However, I wish it had a few more illustrations to break up the text.

Came Damaged, But Content is Good
I received the 'Diario de Pilar' with a bent cover, which was disappointing. I didn’t want to return it, though, because the content is really good. The stories are well-written and inspiring, especially if you have an interest in Machu Picchu. Just wish it hadn’t arrived in less-than-perfect condition.
