Con un carcter didctico, en esta obra se introduce al lector en conceptos clave de la justicia restaurativa (JR) como respuesta emergente y en expansin global frente a los procesos de victimizacin e integracin social en el siglo XXI. Pretende fomentar el debate interdisciplinar interno e internacional. Interesar a los distintos profesionales de la administracin de justicia, en un sentido amplio, implicando diversas reas de conocimiento (Criminologa, Derecho, Trabajo Social, Sociologa, Psicologa, Filosofa, Antropologa...). En ltima instancia se plantea la viabilidad, conveniencia y adecuacin de un derecho al acceso a los procesos restaurativos para todas las personas, cumpliendo con los estndares recogidos en un naciente corpus jurdico internacional. No se trata de una obra terica sino aplicada, en cuanto que se tienen en cuenta la experiencia profesional y los resultados de investigaciones empricas realizadas. Se adopta una perspectiva crtica respecto del funcionamiento y del impacto real de los programas y servicios restaurativos en Espaa y el resto de pases. Los conceptos se muestran as de forma abierta y concisa, pero tambin compleja, dinmica y plural.
