En 1975, une premire bibliographie des 3 pages tait jointe au premier fascicule du DAO; elle contenait les sigles utiliss dans les premiers fascicules, permettait de dater les attestations et facilitait la consultation de l'ouvrage. Une bibliographie plus complte et plus dtaille, contenant l'indication des ditions dpouilles, aurait d suivre plus tard, sous forme de complment bibliographique. Or, aprs presque 25 ans, ce supplment est loin d'tre termin; sa rdaction retarderait la publication rgulire des fascicules. Vu la situation financire actuelle et les exigences d'une publication rgulire de cette oeuvre lexicale long terme, la Commission scientifique du DAO/DAG s'est conforme un compromis: l'laboration d'une bibliographie partielle, l'exclusion de la partie gasconne (DAG) et des attestations occitanes postrieures l'an 1600. Le but envisag de cette bibliographie partielle est double: crer une concordance avec le Dictionnaire de l'occitan mdival (DOM), publi en 1997, et faciliter l'unification des sigles employs. Pour ce faire, son Comit de rdaction a profit de la base solide constitue par le Supplment 1 du DOM. La datation des textes et les indications bibliographiques dtailles se basent sur cette oeuvre. La concordance des sigles employs dans le DAO et le DOM parat indispensable, d'autant plus que les deux dictionnaires se compltent mutuellement.
