Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt die uberarbeitete Fassung der Habilitationsschrift des Verfassers dar, die der Wirtschafts und Sozialwissenschaftlichen FakuWit der Universitat zu Koln im Wintersemester 1969/70 unter dem Titel 'Die Gel tungsdauer organisatorischer Regelungen. Ein Beitrag zur dynamischen Theorie der Organisation' eingereicht wurde. Die Zeitspanne bis zum Erscheinen des Buches diente dazu, einige der fruheren Aussagen zu uberprufen und Erganzungen vorzunehmen, die sich insbesondere hinsichtlich neuerer Entwicklungen auf dem Gebiet der Organisationstheorie anboten. Fur entsprechende Anregungen danke ich den interessierten Kollegen sowie meinen Mitarbeitern am Seminar fUr Industriewirtschaft der Johann Wolfgang GoetheUniversitat Frankfurt/Main.
