Fr traditionelle Segelschiffe, welche hauptschlich ideellen Zwecken oder der Ausbildung von Crews fr solche Schiffe dienen, gibt es seit 1991 die Mglichkeit der Betriebsform als Traditionsschiff. Damit verbunden sind Erleichterungen hinsichtlich Ausrstung und Besatzung. Sie knnen mit Schiffsfhrern und Steuerleuten mit Befhigungszeugnissen fr die Sportschifffahrt besetzt werden. Fr Traditionsschiffe mit einer Rumpflnge ber 25 m bis 55 m mssen fr die nautische Besetzung mindestens zwei Sportsee oder Sporthochseeschifferscheininhaber mit Zusatzeintrag zum Fhren von Traditionsschiffen vorhanden sein.Diese Regelungen mssen sich heute an internationalen Regelwerken wie STCW und MOU messen lassen. Diese Arbeit untersucht, ob und ggf. welche nderungen im deutschen Regelwerk erforderlich sind, um internationalen Anforderungen gerecht zu werden.
