Product DescriptionMit dem 29.05.2009 ist das Bilanzrechtsmodernisierungsgesetz (BilMoG) in Kraft getreten. Der Gesetzgeber verfolgt mit dem BilMoG das Ziel, Unternehmen im Verhltnis zu den IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) ein gleichwertiges, weniger komplexes und kostengnstigeres Rechnungslegungssystem zu bieten. Die Umstellung auf die neuen Vorschriften hat weitreichende Konsequenzen innerhalb des deutschen Rechnungswesens und bildet die grte Bilanzrechtsreform seit dem Bilanzrichtliniengesetz (BiRiLiG) 1985. Inhaltlich soll eine Annherung an die IFRSRechnungslegung und eine Aufwertung der Informationsfunktion von Abschlssen erfolgen. Wesentliche nderungen des BilMoG betreffen die Bilanzierung von Rckstellungen. Rckstellungen sind allgemeine Verpflichtungen, die dem Grund und/oder der Hhe sowie gegebenenfalls der Flligkeit nach ungewiss sind. Das dem bisherigen Rckstellungsansatz und der bewertung anhaftende bilanzpolitische Gestaltungspotenzial sind Hauptkritikpunkte gewesen, die speziell die sonstigen Rckstellungen betroffen haben. Mit einem durchschnittlichen Anteil von etwa 12 % an der Bilanzsumme haben sonstige Rckstellungen einen hohen Anteil an den Passiva deutscher Unternehmen. Seit dem Inkrafttreten des BilMoG besteht eine Passivierungspflicht fr sonstige Rckstellungen; Passivierungswahlrechte existieren nicht mehr. Des Weiteren ergeben sich nderungen bei der Bewertung aus der Bercksichtigung knftiger Preis und Kostenentwicklungen sowie der Einfhrung einer Diskontierungspflicht. Ziel dieses Buches ist es, einen berblick ber die nderungen bei der Bilanzierung sonstiger Rckstellungen zu geben und empirische Erkenntnisse zu den Effekten der BilMoGErstanwendung auf die sonstigen Rckstellungen zu liefern.
