Auch soll die Rolle der Musikindustrie bercksichtigt werden, wobei es herauszufinden gilt, ob Formen wie die Salsa romntica ausschlielich Produkte einer exzessiven Vermarktung darstellen und ob Verkommerzialisierung und Kreativitt sich antagonistisch gegenber stehen. Die Ausfhrungen zur Identitt basieren hauptschlich auf dem Werk Nacin y Ritmo. Doch zunchst soll beschrieben werden, worum es sich bei der Salsa handelt und dann wird ein berblick ber ihre Entwicklung bis hin zu den Anfngen ihrer Vermarktung durch die Musikindustrie gegeben.
